In his hometown of Edinburgh, Nila’s passion for dance music started way back in 1992. After hearing the likes of Dave Angel, Sasha, Carl Cox & Jeff Mills to name just a few, his obsession quickly morphed into a way of life.
At the age of 16 he began buying records and following labels such as Harthouse, Djax and R&S Records. After many years of DJ’ing at house parties, Nila secured his first club spot as the main act.
Nila received wide acclaim throughout his native Scotland culminating in guest mixes for ‘Beat 106’, Scotland’s dance music radio station at the time in addition to playing at numerous clubs around Scotland. He became famous for his technical ability and delivering his own brand of sexy, progressive and tech-tinged house.
Now living in Auckland and after 15 long years of not playing, Nilahas returned to his roots… music!
